Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyj says on X that Ukraine has captured 2 Chinese soldiers in Donetsk. This news means that China’s role in the war goes from being a passive supporter of Putin to an active participant. If the information is correct, it is a dramatic change in the war.

Soldiers captured, a confirmation of China’s direct involvement

China has always claimed that it does not send weapons or soldiers to Ukraine. It has been documented that Chinese weapons find their way to Putin’s war machine. China’s role in the war is moving from a passive supporter to an active participant. In Ukraine, it is claimed that there are many Chinese soldiers on the Russian side.

Ukraine seems to be alone in the war against Russia, China and North Korea. Western countries are sending arms support, but not soldiers. The question is whether this will change if the information is correct. Western countries are afraid of an escalation of the war. This escalation is happening without Western soldiers.

Volodymyr Zelenskyj has instructed his foreign minister to obtain an explanation from China. The captured Chinese soldiers are having their passports and bank cards with personal data inspected.

Putin does not want a ceasefire

Putin’s will for peace is not trusted by the leaders of Western Europe and Ukraine. The so-called ceasefire negotiations with the US and Ukraine are constantly being broken by Russia. A tactic of stalling for time is what Putin is doing.

There is no will for a ceasefire on Putin’s part. He wants a full military victory over all of Ukraine. Everyone in the West sees this, except US President Donald Trump. The American president is buying the Russian propaganda. Making demands on Ukraine and using Ukraine’s weak position to sign a mineral agreement that is a modern form of colonialism.

Ukraine is waging a battle against the world’s largest dictatorships. Ukraine’s struggle is a battle between democracy and dictatorship. It is also a struggle for the right of a people to decide in their own country. Ukraine needs our support.
