The hunger weapon is used by Russia
The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is precarious in many places. Russia uses hunger against the civilian population completely proven in its war strategy. We see it in cities like Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mariupol, Odessa, Kherson and Mykolajiv. Cities surrounded by Russian forces. It is practically impossible to get out. No food or medicine escapes. Russia is apparently using the hunger weapon in Ukraine. The idea is that the people will turn to their president to undermine the support he has among the people.
The hunger weapon explained in chat
One of my many contacts in Ukraine is a woman. I leave her anonymous for understandable reasons. She lives in Odessa. She and her old parents tried to flee to Moldova or Romania a few days ago. It did not go the roads are blocked. In the chat with her today, she writes, among other things:
People do not even have the opportunity to simply leave the city. All roads and paths are blocked. And those who tried to leave were simply shot.
In other words, the Russians who have surrounded the strategically important port city are not actually bombing the city, but have isolated it. A little later in our chat she says:
There is also a problem that very few shops are open and there is no supply of products at all. The shops are empty and the queues are just crazy! People have chosen absolutely everything and now there is a very big problem with food. We still have stocks, but sooner or later they will run out and what will happen next is unknown.
We see similar stories in other cities.
Kherson: The mayor talks about the lack of food

Kherson is a city that actually surrendered. The mayor did it to save civilian lives. Nevertheless, the city experiences that it is isolated. Food does not come in. It is obvious that the food hunger weapon is used by Russia. UN Security Council Resolution 2417 condemns all use of hunger as a weapon in war.
Using hunger as a weapon is perhaps the simplest form of warfare that exists. Russia itself should know how bad this is. The German siege and use of the starvation weapon in 1941 could not possibly have been forgotten. Now those who were exposed to this at the time are using the same strategy in Ukraine.
